Vestido para a Carolina ~ Dress for Carolina

     Estivemos no Algarve por altura do aniversário da pequena Carolina e, tal como no ano passado, levei um presente feito por mim.

     We have been in Algarve to Carolina's birthday and, as last year, I gave her a present made by me.

    Em miúda tive um vestido parecido, feito por uma tia minha e quando comecei a pensar no presente da Carolina, lembrei-me imediatamente de um modelo assim.

     When I was a kid I had a dress like this, made by an aunt of mine and when I started thinking about Carolina's present, I was immediately reminded of a model like this one.

     Comecei por decidir o desenho para a parte de crochet e optei pelos corações já que é o motivo principal do tecido.

     I started by deciding what would it be the theme for the crochet part and I opted for the hearts because is the main theme of the fabric.

A do costume, sempre a combinar!

Futura mala de crochet com lã ~ Future bag in wool crochet

     Tenho esta peça feita há mais de 10 anos!!! Quando a fiz (ainda na época de estudante) queria que fosse uma mala mas nunca consegui adaptá-la para esse fim, principalmente porque, para a ideia inicial, seria necessária mais lã, mas quando voltei à loja já tinha esgotado. 

     I made this piece 10 years ago when I was still a student! At that time I wanted it to be a bag but I could never adapt it for this purpose, mainly because for the original idea I would require more wool, but when I returned to the store had already sold out.

     Passados mais de 10 anos fez-se luz e vai finalmente ganhar vida numa mala para mim. Quando ficar pronta mostro o resultado.

     After more than 10 years it will, finally, come to life in a bag for me (with a new idea). I will show it when it's done.

     Para uma canhota que só teve quem lhe ensinasse esta arte com a mão direita, até não me saí nada mal!

     For a left-handed, who was taught with the right hand, is not bad at all!
