Este foi o chapéu escolhido pela Matilde para se proteger do sol neste Verão.

This hat was chosen by Matilde to protect herself from the sun, that finally came!

Novo look ~ New look

     Há já algum (muito) tempo que andava a pedir (implorar) ao criativo informático da casa para dar uns retoques na imagem antiga que começou a fazer-me comichão com tanto preto!

     Finalmente ficou alterada a 1.ª parte, a próxima estará pronta lá para o fim do ano!!! (com um bocadinho de sorte) 

     Já não faz muito sentido o nome falar apenas de chapéus por isso ando a magicar num nome mais abrangente.

     I've been asking (beg) to my "partner" for some (many) time to change the initial image of this project. The black part started making me "itch"!

     The first part got changed, the next one will be ready... at the end of the year! (with luck)

     It no longer makes sense this project talk only about hats, so I have to think about a new one.

Chapéu para a Petra ~ Hat for Petra

   

     Esta encomenda anda a arrastar-se desde o ano passado por decisões de pormenores! Este ano ficou finalmente pronta e com a chegada do Verão (?) a Petra vai poder proteger os seus lindos caracóis!

     This order was waiting to be finished since last year by decision of small details! This year is finally ready and Petra will be able to protect her beautiful curly hair from the sun (sun? where?).

     O objectivo era ter um chapéu que a acompanhasse durante mais tempo e a solução foi fazê-lo um pouco maior e colocar um elástico.

     Petra's mother wanted a hat that lasted longer and the solution was to make it bigger and sew an elastic on the back side.

Vai poder usá-lo de forma reversível nos tons de vermelho...

It's reversible and she can use the red one...

...e nos tons de cor-de-rosa.

...and the pink one.

Individuais ~ Placemats

     Ainda às voltas com este conjunto de cozinha, começado em Setembro, ficaram finalmente acabados os dois individuais. Finalmente é decididamente a palavra mais adequada para este conjunto de cozinha que foi oficialmente posto à prova neste dia, mesmo incompleto.

     Still the same set for kitchen, since September! These two placemats were finally finished. Finally, it is definitely the most appropriate word for this kitchen set!

      Com o pouco tecido do conjunto que já sobrava, apliquei uma barra do lado esquerdo.

     At this time, I had a small amount of tissue, so I decided to apply a strip on the left side.

     Para o tornar mais resistente optei por aplicar um tecido (que não parecendo, foi muito difícil de escolher!) na parte de trás.

     To make it more resistant I decided to apply a tissue (It was very hard to choose, by the way!) at the back.
